音乐剧中魅力猫她年轻时是猫族中最美丽的母猫，可是后来她厌倦了猫群的生活，离开了猫族去看外面的世界。然而，外面的世界显然并没有令“魅力猫”更快乐，当她再次回到猫族的时候，“魅力猫”已经变成了一只蓬头垢面，苍老丑陋的老猫了。
猫儿们不愿接受这个背叛猫族的流浪者，整个猫族对她非常敌视。她以一曲《回忆》平息了所有猫儿对她的敌意，唤起了对她的深深同情和怜悯。
