other表示其他的，another表示“另一个，又一个，再一个”的意思，一般有多个事物，而the other用于两者之间，one……the other，如I have two apples，one is red，the other（one） is green。
other + 名词相当于others；同理the other+名词相当于the others，
区别：others表示剩下部分的一些，如Some cleaned the windows, others mopped the floor. 有的擦窗户, 有的擦地板。这里的others可以换成other people或other students。
而加上定冠词the others是表示某个范围内剩下部分的全部（无定冠词表示一些）如，
