虚拟经济有多种说法: virtual economy/unreal economy/symbole economy/fictitious economy/unreal economy 实体经济也有多种说法: real economy/entity economy/substantial economy/tangible economy 虚拟经济词义变异 至于别人硬要用歪曲事实的谎言将美国网络经济(virtual economy)造成的“亿万美元的文雅谎言”（a trillion dollar fib）强加给中国的虚拟经济(fictitious economy)研究人员，我们的态度是遵守但丁的一句格言：“Segui il luo corso, e lascia dir le gentil(走你的路，让别人去说吧) ！” 关于对马克思“虚拟资本”的延伸，国务院体改办副主任李剑阁在《正确认识虚拟经济》（人民网，2003年2月24日）一文中说：“这些人是在马克思提出的‘虚拟资本’的意义上使用虚拟经济的。……马克思说的虚拟资本，英文是‘fictitious capital’，德文是‘fiktives kapital’。无论是英文‘fictitious’，还是德文‘fiktives’，与英文‘virtual’根本不是一个意思，前者应译为虚假的、虚幻的、虚构的、假象的。” 这倒是符合十六大政治报告英文版使用的“virtual economy”（虚拟经济）。然而，作者说明了virtual（虚拟）来自计算机的虚拟技术后，又讨论起金融。这正如我在首篇质疑文章中问到的：如果能把计算机虚拟技术搞成“虚拟经济”来说金融，那么，能不能把硬盘技术说成“硬盘经济”、把键盘技术拿来作“键盘经济”来说金融呢？ “虚拟经济”的相关解释违背了经济学基本原理。无独有偶，天津大学“虚拟经济研究中心”的文章也试图否认经济学基本规则。例如，该中心发表的《论虚拟经济的研究》，有这样一段话：“国外经常使用virtual economy、unreal economy、symbole economy、fictitious economy等与‘real economy’相对的词汇来概括相应的研究内容。虚拟经济实际上是以‘资本化定价方式’为核心的一种特定的经济运行关系。在金融资产日益膨胀的当代经济中，资本化定价方式渗透到经济的各个方面，因此使得整个经济的运行方式同传统的工业化经济相比发生了很大变化。……正象虚拟经济必将对人们的生活产生重大冲击一样，虚拟经济的研究必将对传统经济理论造成巨大的冲击。” 对于虚拟经济，国际上尚无一致的定义和系统的研究，而且由于译名的相同，混淆了三个不同的概念，将三者均译成虚拟经济。一是指与证券、期货、期权等虚拟资本的交易有关的经济活动（Fictitious Economy）；二是指以信息技术为依托所进行的的经济活动（Virtual Economy），也有人称之为数字经济或网络经济；三是指用计算机模拟的可视化经济活动（Visual Economy）。为了区别这三个概念，我个人主张将Fictitious Economy译成虚拟经济，将Virtual Economy译成网络经济或拟实经济，将Visual Economy译成可视化经济。需要注意的是，网络经济与虚拟经济的概念是不同的，网络经济是指经济的运行方式，虚拟经济是指经济活动的模式，因此必须将这二者区分开来。
