This movie focuses on four residents and "stars" of the Central Park Zoo in New York City who are also best friends: a lion (Stiller), a zebra (Rock), a giraffe (Schwimmer) and a pregnant hippo (Smith). When one of them goes missing, the other three break out of the zoo looking for him, and eventually all four are captured and put in boxes to ship them back to the continent their species are originally from: Africa. An accident at sea, however, strands them on the shore of Madagascar. Having had humans take care of them their entire life, the four know nothing of surviving in the wild, or that one of them, the lion, is genetically predisposed to eat his three best friends. Exploring their surroundings, the four friends soon meet the Malagasy locals (a type of lemur given to having loud "rave-like" dance parties) and their carnivorous enemies, the fousas. As the two sides try to use these four new, strange (and large) friends to their benefit, our heroes are also confronted with the reality of their predestined roles in nature.

办完事了,就没人理了,真够差劲的。同仁们以后别太实诚了

This show had me hooked from the first five seconds. Called "KareKano"for short, it follows the story of Miyazawa Yukino, a first-year high school girl who puts a tremendous amount of effort into reaching her goal of being the most popular student in school. However, her dreams are cut short by the appearance of Arima Souichiro, who is not only more perfect than she is, but doesn't even have to try. After some misun derstandings, the two become friends, and eventually boyfriend-girlfri end.
This series tells the story of a high school romance, and initially may not seem so different from other shoujo anime, but it is unusual in many ways. For one thing, the story covers the shortest time span I have ever seen in an anime- only a few months. But in high school, of course, a few months can seem like a lifetime. Unlike many other shows, whose characters end up miraculously saving the world, Kare-Kano focuses on simple, every-day events in Yukino and Arima's life, as their relationship builds amidst typical Japanese high school activites like sports festivals, culture festivals, tests, new friendships, rivalries, etc. The plot is fairly simple, but touching. Scenes can go from humourous to serious in a heartbeat, and back again. You end up really feeling for the characters; they all have their little quirks, and a lot of heart.
Another aspect of this show which sets it apart from typical anime is its unique visual style. In addition to traditional animation, there are many still shots used, as well as images from the original manga, dialogue bubbles, sketches, real-life photos, and text on a plain screen. Images flash past the viewers eyes quickly, making the viewing experience mezmerizing. I was hooked right away; I feel like I could watchthis show forever and not get bored, because the visuals are so lively and interesting. It's like watching moving manga! Incredible. I recommend this series to anyone who has an interest in what Japanese school is like. It is, of course, fiction, but it paints a vivid picture of Japanese student life today. And it's just so sweet!
